life is a journey,
A journey of naught
For in the end what counts
Is what mattered the least of all.
In life you strive and slog
To be the best,
The cream of the crop.
But in the mind of ambition,
There lies the evil thought.
Of what others did and what you did not.
This mindless battle consumes your soul.
Eats into your very being,
Until theres nothing left but that goal.
There comes neglection of the things you once hold.
Opportunities come, opportunities go
Opportunities of new, opportunities of old.
But one by one it was all forgone.
Nothing was done to ammend my mistakes
Until the day came "The dawn of a new age"
Everything has changed into the unknown
Changed into a mystery,
A puzzle not of your own.
You stare in bewilderment,
But staring was all you can do.
The tide has changed and you knew not what to do.
Waves of emotions flooded my soul
Anger? Regret? Sadness?
I had only myself to blame....
Is it too late to ammend my mistake?
Even the tide changes in half a day
Or am i to travel to the ocean?
The endless ocean.........
Will a stitch in time save nine?
Or has the cloth thorn into streads....
Life is full of mysteries you never know why.
Paradox and irony it seems flood my life.
But even so i hold steadfast to the thought
That friendships will never ever die.
